Vaccination
Vaccine hesitancy
Vaccinations are unsafe
• Vaccination is perceived as being unsafe and unnecessary by a growing number of individuals. Lack of confidence in vaccines is now considered a threat to the success of vaccination programs. Vaccine hesitancy is believed to be responsible for decreasing vaccine coverage and an increasing risk of vaccine-preventable disease outbreaks and epidemics.

Vaccines cause Autism
• Contradictory to popular belief, no study has found any link between vaccines and autism. In a study involving more than 1 million children, there was no link found between the MMR vaccine and autism.

Vaccines are unsafe in Pregnancy.
• Flu and Tdap vaccines are very safe during pregnancy. Studies show there was no evidence of increased risk of maternal encephalitis/encephalopathy, autism, birth defects, or febrile seizures in infants.
Reasons why you should get vaccinated

Vaccines save millions of lives.
• Before vaccines were discovered, millions of people around the world would die from communicable diseases. For example, before the measles vaccine was founded in 1963, 2.6 million people died from it each year. Now the number is less than 1 % of that figure, all because of vaccination.

Serious adverse events are extremely rare
• There is no evidence supporting an association between the Vaccines and its alleged events like cognitive delay, type 1 diabetes, asthma, dermatitis/eczema, hay fever, leukemia, multiple sclerosis, gait disturbance, and bacterial or viral infections.

Not getting Vaccines puts other people at risk
• Refusal of timely vaccination has contributed to outbreaks of vaccine-preventable diseases such as measles, polio and pertussis.
